While there are many great places for families to pass time in the Greater Indianapolis area, few match up to Woodland Bowling Center, a large entertainment facility on the Northside. Woodland Bowling Center is a popular destination for hardcore and amateur bowlers alike.

Activities

Woodland Bowling Center is mostly known for its bowling, but it’s much more that. In addition to their 70-lane bowling facility, Woodland Bowling Center has two 18-hole miniature golf courses, a multi-level laser tag facility, an arcade and a couple of restaurants and bars. Cosmic bowling is available for lanes 1 through 14 and lanes 41 through 70 at Woodland. All bowling lanes boast automatic scoring.

VIP Membership

Woodland attendees can become a member of the facility’s VIP group. It is free to join, and VIP members receive discounts on bowling and food. Occasionally, VIP members will get bowling and food for free. Members also receive a free subscription to Woodland’s e-newsletter and invitations to special events.

Leagues and Tournaments

Woodland allows the creation of private leagues. Bowling leagues must have at least 32 members, and the leagues last 10 weeks. Additionally, Woodland will occasionally hold bowling tournaments. In 2015, they held the Tournament of Champions Pro Am Division E.

Birthday Parties

Woodland Bowling Center is a popular Northside destination for birthday parties. Birthday parties require a minimum of eight guests. The Pirates Cove Miniature Golf package is the most basic birthday package. For $114.99, groups receive admission to the miniature golf course, a decorated party table and Fun Treat passes. Additionally, each party guest receives $5.00 in arcade tokens, and the birthday boy or girl gets a special birthday bowling pin. There are other packages for bowling or laser tag instead of miniature golf. There is also a combination package. This allows guests to enjoy two of these three main activities at Woodland.

Youth Programs

Youth bowling programs are available for kids between the ages of five and 18. Bowling at a young age helps improve children’s self-esteem and learn teamwork. Participants who join the Saturday Morning Youth League are eligible for a number of scholarships.

Hours and Location

Woodland Bowling Center is open every day of the week. On weekdays and Saturdays, they open at 10:00am. On Sundays, they open at 9:00am. Visitors should call Woodland Bowling Center for closing times because they vary. It is located near the intersection of 96th Street in Keystone Avenue. While Woodland Bowling Center has an Indianapolis address, it is just a few minutes south of Carmel. Fishers residents and Zionsville residents can reach in about 10 minutes and 20 minutes, respectively.
