With well over a million people in the metropolitan Indianapolis area, there are several busy grocery stores across Central Indiana. While many of them are certainly similar, nothing compares to Market District, a new grocery store in Carmel. While Market District is certainly a grocery store by name, it is more than just a place to buy food. It has a fully functional educational kitchen, a catering service and an excellent rewards program.

More than Groceries

Market District is first and foremost a grocery store with common supermarket foods like produce, meats, seafood, beverages and snacks. However, in addition to its selection of food and drink, there are many unusual departments guests will come across when they visit Market District. For one, there is a demo kitchen. Here, visitors to Market District can watch professional chefs cook up exciting dishes. These chefs will even share the recipe for the item they are making. Every Market District location has a demo kitchen open every day of the week between the hours of 11:00am and 7:00pm. Visitors are encouraged to ask questions and absorb as much information as they can. Market District also offers a catering service, which is relatively unusual for a grocer. Market District’s catering service is designed to help for events of all types, regardless of size. Its catering service also offers complimentary party consultation and menu customization. Most caterers will charge extra for these types of services. Market District even has a food truck that can be onsite for parties that have at least 50 guests.

Like many other grocers, Market District has its own couponing service called eAdvantage. Anyone can register for eAdvantage on the Market District website. One enrolled, coupons are available electronically, or they will print at the register when an Advantage Card is presented. Every week, Market District has one item that is massively discounted. Occasionally, this item will even be free. The Market District website lists what item is discounted for the week.
